The Vallejo family opened Vallejo’s Deli in 1983 serving Sacramento’s midtown area with the finest Authentic Mexican Food, rated number #1 in Sacramento. In spring of 1992, the Vallejo family opened Vallejo’s Restaurant, expanding their Mexican cuisine to the down town area’s business community and local residents, offering the same attention to detailed preparation. Shortly after the family expanded to ad yet another location in South Side park neighborhood of downtown and continue serving Sacramento’s finest Authentic Mexican Food in Northern California. Eventually the Deli had to close due to an unfortunate accident but it will always be remembered as the location where it all started, operating out of the down stairs of an old classic Victorian home with only two tables, four chairs and a bench outside.
